What Low-A is

Low-A is the lowest full-season level. A player here has been assigned to a club with a real 130-plus game schedule rather than a short complex season, which is a promotion in itself and usually the club telling you something.

What it means for a card

The first place a stat line gets big enough to be worth reading. A full season of plate appearances against professional pitching separates a player who hit in short-season looks from one who can do it every day — and the gap between those two is most of the risk in a prospect card at this stage.

We track 1,238 players at Low-A. 296 have enough behind them — a real stat line or market evidence — for a page of their own. The rest are followed and will appear here as data lands.
